This Tuesday I will have all my stuf out since a few people are planning on coming by. It will be like an informal open house :) If you just want to look, or need a few things, or even if you just want to visit feel free to stop on by anytime after 10am. Look forward to seeing you :)

It's Saturday
Lately I have been coveting other people's sewing skills.
I think it's that.
Really I want to be able to make beautiful cute little spring dresses I've been seeing spring up everywhere!
I have a sewing machine. I have a nice one. It's older, but practically brand new, and was recently serviced and admired by said servicer.
What I'm lacking is the confidence in my ability to operate this machine.
I need my projects to flow smoothly, over a not so long period of time, with minimal technical difficulty. Having to stop and read manuals isn't my idea of a fun project.
I think that's why I love bows so much ;)
However.... this great sewing machine is doing me no good unless I bust it out and get to work.
Practice Makes Perfect.... or at least decent enough for my own child to wear... right?
And if I'm lucky I can talk one of my craftier sewing friends into coming over to help me..... just maybe.
So, since it's Saturday and I'm up at the crack of dawn sporting my cute new hair cut- I'm heading to a new fabric store, to buy fabric I will fall in love with. I will fall so in love with the fabric I will then be afraid to cut into it and it will be added to my pile. Let's hope the later doesn't happen....

Parties
Who doesn't love a good party?
I have been thinking about adding to my business, and the way that comes to mind is to do in home Parties.
These need not be all about inviting your friends over to your home to hear a lengthy predetermind speach about why they should fork over all their money. Mine will be fun! I aim to create a more relaxed feeling where your friends can come together, enjoy gabbing amongst eachother. The bows and accessories will merely be a background.
I've decided that you will get 20% of your nights total sales in free credit, plus an additional 15% your purchase. It's simple to do, invite your friends. I will call a day or two in advance to get an estimate of how many people you are expecting and to see if there are any special requests. On Party Day I will come about 30 minutes early to set up, and let you have first pick of anything you see that you don't want leaving the house with someone else ;)
I'm toying with the idea of a little something extra for each party booked from your party, but haven't quite decided on that one. I'll keep you informed if I do!
Okay.... now..... Party #2. This is something I'd thought up while I was selling in Utah but never really had a chance to try out. I really think it could be fun.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!
Some parents try for months to find a fun new pirthday party idea for their children. I know because I am one of them.
Bows aren't just fun to wear, they're lots of fun to make too. So, here's how it would work:
$75. for up to 10 girls. I will come the week before to meet the birthday girl and her family. I will show them the different styles available and let her choose one. She then can choose the colors she wants.
On party day, I will come about 30 minutes early and begin setting up. I will stay at the party to help the girls make their own bows to take home. No need for goodie bags full of junk when they can take home a super cute bow they made themselves! I will provide all needed supplies.
I can also offer this for adults :) Some mom's out there would love a chance to hear some of my secrets and tips.

The Plan
The plan today was to hit the sweat shop and crank out some bows.
Well.... life gets in the way, but I still managed to get a few things done.
Enjoy some pictures <3
And special just for Jace.... because lately she thinks I make bows for everyone BUT her....
